Our Newest Program launching in May 2026
ICGF is excited to announce the launch of a new Talent Attraction and Retention Initiative in the region, to bring new residents to our communities. Leveraging a grant award from Grow Michigan, a State of Michigan funded effort to attract highly sought after talent to our State, and working with regional partners, ICGF has designed Genesee Future Forward to proactively market and showcase our community assets so that successful applicants can make our communities their home. Program Features:
- The Program will provide financial assistance to Awardees for: Rental assistance, (security deposits, utility deposits, moving expenses), or down payment/closing cost or home repair costs, etc.
- Awardees will be given the opportunity to specify the type of assistance they need. For example, they will complete a questionnaire that will highlight their preferred benefits and can receive assistance up to $5000 within the first year of employment and residency.
- Membership to Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce and Flint & Genesee Young Professionals
- Relocation guide and welcome basket provided by Flint & Genesee Group
- Monthly check-ins provided by a “Make you Move in Flint & Genesee” community champion program
- One year of Co-Working space at a local Non-Profit Entity
- Guest Pass to entertainment and cultural activities and events sponsored by the Flint Cultural Center
- Navigation assistance for regional entrepreneurship resources and services
- Free registration to enroll in Explore Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce’s Certified Tourism Ambassador Program
